My sister is a huge One Tree Hill fan and I have to say that it has a place in my heart, too. I like to support shows that are filmed here in the south (Wilmington, NC to be exact). I also admire how Sophia Bush uses her celebrity for cool causes.
On July 31, 2011 the Nature Conservancy will host a marathon in San Francisco. If you donate $11 to the Team Nature Conservancy, you will be entered to win an autographed One Tree Hill photo. Of course, you can donate as much or as little as you’d like. Also, if you live in the San Francisco area, you can do even more and volunteer at the marathon!
The Nature Conservancy protects animals, plants, and natural communities by protecting the waters and lands in which they’re located. It’s a modest mission with sustainability as a key factor.
Bottom line: Sign up to run, donate to a team, volunteer at the event or donate directly to the conservancy. A tree will thank you.
